Whats on Halloween Cornwall

What a beautiful time of year. Autumn has arrived and with it all the joys of the changing season. The summer crowds have now gone with many visitors enjoying the unusually warm weather for October. Nature is slowly changing with the autumnal colours showing through around Cornwall’s excellent woodlands and forests and autumnal flowers adorning the hillsides along the coast.

We like to make the most of this time of year and here’s just a few things you can enjoy during October and Early November.

  1. Halloween trials in Trebah Gardens

Visit Trebah Gardens during October to take in the beautiful along the Halloween trials throughout the gardens. The special Halloween day trails cost just £2 which includes a prize making this an excellent way to entertain children during the October half-term. Explore the beautiful trails as you gather clues to win a Halloween treat.

Every day throughout October Trebah Gardens is hosting a “Terrifying Tentacle Trail” where you can discover creatures with horrible horns, and spine-chilling stingers. Excellent for all the family Trebah Gardens are well worth a visit.

  1. The Halloween Owl Prowl

Half-term fun can be had at Paradise Park in Hayle, St Ives Bay this October half-term between the 20th and 28th October. Sure to give you goose bumps as you explore the park, visitors can explore the grounds of the Park hunting out the clues about these creatures of the night. Returning all the right answers and you will be rewarded with a lovely sweet treat. Yum!!

One of the staples of Halloween (other than trick-or-treating) is the fancy dress competitions! Hosting the popular Halloween Disco again this year, all ages welcome. On Friday 26th October the event starts at 3am until 6pm with prizes for the fancy dress. See the Paradise Park website for more information.

  1. Halloweden and the Little Monster Ball at the Eden Project

Enter a mysterious and spooky world at the Eden project over the October half-term. Running from the 20th October to 4th November, there will be magical creatures roaming around the gardens with many themed events happening throughout. Don’t forget to look out for the Pumpkin Displays and ghost stories along with a Halloween Disco on the 27th!

  1. Halloween Tours at Pendennis Castle

Discover another side to the Pendennis Castle with creepy Halloween tours for both children and adults! Running over Thursday 25th and Friday 26th October from 6pm til 10pm. Discover the castles creepy past as storytellers tell you about spooky and gruesome events with tales of ghosts.

A unique opportunity to explore the castle in the dark!

  1. Fright Nights at Pirates Quest

For the adults among us, Pirates Quest are hosting Fright Nights. These adult-only nights return on the 26th of September and not for the feint hearted. The whole of the Pirates Quest building is transformed into the ultimate scare experience with previous themes including zombies, cannibals and ghost pirates!

For a more family friendly experience, the Trick or Treasure event during half-term is a fun adventure with Pirates transporting you back over 300 years to the time of the Jack O’Lantern and King of the Piskies. Follow the hidden Halloween clues and find the treasure!
